Hye Precision Products Completes 50 Machines

PERRY, Ga., November 1 / -- Hye Precision Products, Perry Georgia, a worldwide leader in the design and manufacture of golf ball manufacturing equipment, today announced that it has completed fifty units of its model ASB2 Automatic Seam Buffing Machine. The machines are designed and manufactured at the Perry Georgia facility and are installed in various locations worldwide.

The machine’s primary use is to smooth and blend the equator seam of a golf ball. Golf balls are produced using molding processes that by nature leave an unfinished seam where the upper and lower mold cavities meet. Historically, balls were hand orientated and loaded onto machines for processing. A skilled machine operator could load approximately twenty balls per minute, but the chance of developing repetitive wrist injury was high. The automatic machine developed by Hye Precision Products can orientate and load up to fifty balls per minute. Since the machine is fully automatic, it does not require an operator, which eliminates the potential repetitive wrist injury.

The company plans to continue the support of its current machines and invest in research and development to create the next generation of Seam Buffing Machines. Hye Precision’s goal is to be the world’s best designer and manufacturer of highly specialized tooling for golf ball manufacturers.

Hye Precision Products, based in Perry, Georgia, supplies custom machinery and tooling to golf ball manufacturers worldwide. Hye’s products include dimpled molding cavities for compression or injection, injection mold bases, automatic seam buffing machines, and a line of golf ball testing equipment.
